Okay, so here is a book I worked on and finished in August, before the maddness of nursing school began. I just got permission from the "stars" of the book to post it, as it was a gift to them, and they just recieved it. So, here's the link for any one who's interested. ---I love comments, especially the ones left at Shutterfly, lol.
Thanks, Amy

I am currently slammed at the moment with school work. And am anticipating that I won't have a good break until the end of the semester, so I was happy to be able to write this article and give away a freebie while I could. Enjoy ~Amy

Blog... Blog? What Blog?

Wow, it's so sad that I have neglected my blog. After a long time on travel and unexpectantly starting an RN program, (earlier than planned) it seems I have no free time. So, just want to give everyone the heads up. If you wonder where I am, I'm probably in class, studying, or being a mom. But, I'm not calling it quits, just taking a break from my designing right now. I'm still hoping to stay invloved with the Shutterfly Gallery. So, that's that.. now it's out there for any one wondering.
Have a great day and happy scrapping,

Thought I'd try and get some other opinions ... What do you think?

Link Mix -up & Photos

Hey ladies, I have recieved comments that some of the links are mixed up. Well, while I'm on vacation, it would be too hard to fix. But I promise that if all of the pieces aren't there, I will get them to you when I return.
Thanks for visitting my blog.
Here are some photos.

Bri & Grandpa doing puzzles. These were my old puzzles when I was a little girl. My sister, brother and I would play with them for hours. I love the old wooden puzzles. They are so durable and hold so many memories.

Bri & Belinda

My dad hasn't named his chickens, and I really don't know who does, but we named this one.
Her name is Belinda like the chicken on Return to OZ. Have any of you seen that movie? It's an old Disney movie that was just released in the last few years. -- Loved it as a kid.

Kache's Completed Book

Well, I'm just ramping up for our big trip. I'm very excited and having a little anxiety due to all of the things on my mind right now. I've completed Kache's book. It was such a fun book to work on. She had some amazing photos taken by Wendy Gettings with Cherrished Expressions Photography, Northern, Utah. I am now in the process of working on another one for a friend. Should be done shortly after I return.

I'm going to be completely lost if I have to be away from the computer for my whole trip. Hopefully I can use one while I'm gone. However, I don't really know what will come of it. I'll more than likely create a new kit when I return. Nonetheless, I'd like to at least be able to post a few photos and what not. So any how, thought I'd do a quick blog before heading to bed. I'll check in later, for now, here a re some summer photos.

We're Back and Shutterflly News

We're back, hurray, my husband and I had such a fun time in Cincinnati. And a big thanks to his parents for watching our kids while we were gone. It was such a treat to go away with just the two of us.

This summer's packed for our family. In a couple of weeks, the kids and I are off to Utah to visit family and friends. I will try my hardest to check in, but who knows what the trip will bring.

For now, I am so excited. I'm featured on Shutterfly's Community Home Page. How cool is that? I was so happy when I found out. I love being a member of the Gallery Guru Team, the community at Shutterfly has created so many wonderful books.

And onto another note, I'm giving away a kit that I previously had for sale. It will be a daily download and begin on July 26. Here's the preview

Check back soon, Amy

So, I found this little freebie within my files, it's yours if you'd like.

Baby Kitties

Hello, I'm a cute little girl and I need a name. Any suggestions? Read on to hear more about me and my brother.

UPDATE: We decieded on a name for her, it's Mali. It's the Siamese name for Jasmine.

The other day the kids and I were out running errands. We were near the Animal Shelter so we stopped in on a whim. We had been there a number of times before, actually that is where we got our cat Meiko 4 years ago. But this time, we spotted 2 little loves that caught my attention. They were 2 siamese kittens. One boy & one Girl. We had to wait 3 days until they were available for adoption. I put it in the back of my mind, but the kids remembered and I was suprised that my husband didn't seem to mind. So, on Friday we went down to see them. It was apparent they belonged together, and how could I chose which one had to stay at the city shelter? Each of the kids wanted one of their own, so we adopted them both.

When I was a child, I actually had 2 Siamese kittens. One boy & one girl that came to me on their own. One a neighbor brought home and was not allowed to have. She was Lily, and was fluffier and had lighter markings.Mistakenly my Mom found a little boy wandering in the rain 2 days later. She thought he was my Lily and brought him home. I named him Lucky. He was darker and thinner.

Here is a photo of Lucky taken later when he was older. It's not the best photo granted it was taken in the 80's with a toy film camera. lol

I don't remember what happened to Lily, but I do remember that Lucky had been piosioned and it broke my heart when he died in my arms.

I am now starting to sense that these little kittens might be the reincarnated past friends of my childhood. I jokingly said this earlier today. However, after reviewing photos that my daughter took, my heart stopped when I saw one of the new little girl curled up in my old childhood blanket, the same one that Lily slept in.

Here's an old photo I just found of Lily She's much older than a kitten here. In the back is the Blue & white pillow that goes to my old blanket that our new girl was snuggled in.

So here are the new kitties.

Our son named the boy Ciaro and we are still deciding on a name for the girl.

Any suggestions? We'd like an Egyptian female name.

Aren't their markings similar? I know of course they are because they are Siamese, but even the females have the white noses and tan around the eyes. LOL, I just think that the whole "flash back" to my child hood has been fun to think of. I hope that our kiddos will have just as much fun with these 2 babies as I did.

Meiko, our 4 year old cat, isn't happy at all about the addition. He won't even come inside. I spend extra time with him and really the kids are the ones who have played with the kittens. But, he's not happy and isn't shy in letting us know. I hope he'll get over it. He has in the past and is now best friends with Autumn, the little stray who comes around.

Okay, well, I'm done rambling... If you've read this far, thanks. I'll let you know when we select a name.
